Department : Interventional Radiology (IR Tech)
Interview : Clinical profile review + Manager call
Badge : Traveler must provide Radiation Badge
Details :
Certs : ARRT (R), WA license, BLS (IV cert preferred)
Experience : Min 1 year IR; stroke facility & travel exp preferred
Rooms : 3 (2 biplane, 1 single) – always keep 1 open for strokes; hybrid OR exposure helpful but not required
Duties : All IR procedures (neuro IR, vascular, neuro surgery), scrub & circulate, call team participation
Volume : 10–20 cases / day + 1–4 stroke cases per week (2 techs / room)
Systems / Equipment : Cerner EMR, GE Centricity RIS, Philips Intellispace PACS; Philips scanners
Support : Lead IR tech, charge nurse, nurse manager, radiology director; radiologists in-house days, on-call nights
IVs : Done by IR RNs
Schedule :
Shifts : 4x10s, 7a–5 : 30p or 7 : 30a–6p, rotating day off
Call : 1–2 weeknights / wk (6p–7a), 1 weekend / month (Fri 6p–Mon 7a), 30-min response time
Holidays : Work if scheduled shift or call; holiday pay provided
Other : Scrubs provided, 1-day orientation with preceptor for 1st week
