Position : Registered Nurse (RN) Wound & Ostomy Care
Location : New York, NY
Pay Rate : $105 / hour- $110 / hour
Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM (5 days / week, 8-hour shifts)
About the Role
The RN will provide expert clinical care, perform focused health assessments, and develop individualized care plans for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team while leading patient education and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) nursing experience.
- Experience in Wound and Colostomy Care .
Education
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program (Required).Licensure & Certifications
Active New York State RN License (Required).Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED) (Required).AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required).One or more of the following wound care certifications (Required) :

Conduct focused health assessments and develop individualized care plans.Recommend appropriate treatments and medications related to wound, ostomy, and continence care.Develop, revise, and evaluate standards of care and assist in selecting supplies, technology, and equipment.Assess, document, and evaluate patient responses to wound and ostomy treatments.Collaborate with healthcare team members and refer patients to other disciplines as needed.Educate and counsel patients and families on prevention and care of wounds and ostomies.Develop and implement staff education programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing training.Participate in quality improvement and hospital-wide initiatives.Ensure culturally competent care and maintain confidentiality in all patient interactions.Manage specialty equipment and rental assets (e.g., specialty beds, negative pressure devices).
