Continuous Improvement Black Belt

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Black Belt to spearhead the Continuous Improvement projects at our site in Shelbyville, KY. If you have successful 3PL (Third-party Logistics) industrial or continuous improvement engineering experience and are motivated by being a key player in Lean Six or Kaizen projects, consider joining Kuehne+Nagel in Shelbyville, KY. The right candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and a tendency towards 5S in the workplace.
How You Create Impact
You will be responsible and accountable for the Continuous Improvement of site project programs. Champion transformation and innovation. Identify opportunities and take actions to upgrade site excellence. Support and co-implement 5S, visual management, work instructions, and other production system standards. Secure productivity management usage and run productivity initiatives. Support and co-facilitate deep dive Value Stream Analysis (VSA), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, and other Lean events. Deliver project portfolios resulting from VSA activity. Align projects and continuous improvement activity to meet both savings targets and site productivity targets. Manage trackers and reports to ensure data integrity and that savings are validated with financial controllers. You will work with the Regional Black Belt in the development and coaching of the Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belts.
What We Would Like You To Bring
Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Lean Six Black Belt. Continuous Improvement experience for 5-10 years. Project Management experience for 2-5 years. 5-10 years in a Warehousing environment.
