Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Job Summary : Join our dedicated team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) where you will provide efficient and timely pre-hospital basic life support to patients in need. You will be responsible for the care and transportation of sick and injured individuals in accordance with local, state, national, and company standards.

Equipment Used : You will utilize various medical equipment including ambulances, stretchers, splinting devices, oxygen delivery systems, and more to deliver effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients for signs and symptoms of illness / injury.
• Administer basic life support care and assist other medical personnel as needed.
• Ensure safe and efficient transport of patients to medical facilities.
• Accurately document patient conditions and treatments on EMS reports.
• Maintain ambulance and equipment readiness, performing inventory checks and reporting necessary repairs.
• Comply with safety protocols and regulations while driving and handling emergency situations.
• Participate in team meetings and fulfill station duties including equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Serve as a Field Training Officer to mentor new EMTs and students when qualified.

Physical Demands : This role involves a variety of physical activities including lifting patients, navigating challenging terrains, and operating emergency vehicles safely.

Work Environment : Be prepared to respond to emergencies in diverse environments, including outdoor settings and situations involving hazardous materials.

Qualifications : Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, EMR certification, valid CPR certification, and a state-issued driver’s license. Strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism are essential.
