Dental Assistant (DA / EFDA Preferred)

Location : Garrett B. Lyons, DDS – Montchanin, DE

Schedule : Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays | 7 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Pay : $25–$30 / hour

Looking to join a welcoming dental team that truly values quality care and a positive work environment? We’re currently seeking a Dental Assistant to become an essential part of our practice. An EFDA certification is a big plus, but it’s not required—we’re open to great assistants with the right experience and attitude.

If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do :

Greet and prepare patients for treatment while making them feel at ease

Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures using 4-handed dentistry techniques

Set up treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to safety standards

Handle lab tasks and explain post-op instructions to patients

Keep accurate and organized patient records and treatment notes

Pitch in with scheduling and general office support when needed

Perform expanded functions like coronal polishing if certified

What We’re Looking For :

At least 2 years of dental assisting experience

Certified Dental Assistant (CDA or RDA)

EFDA certification is strongly preferred, but not required

X-ray / radiology certified

Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.)

Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor

Highly organized, dependable, and team-oriented
