CNC Machinist

L.M. Gill Welding & Manufacturing, a Naval Defense manufacturing company located in Manchester, is currently looking for experienced Machinist who are proficient in 3, 4, & 5-axis CNC Milling machines.

The ideal candidate should have experience in :

• Minimum of 5 years experience with Set-up and operation of new CNC Milling machines, familiarity with G CODE for programming parts, due to short runs and with multiple set-ups.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect their own work, using standard measuring equipment, e.g. micrometers and calipers.
• Working knowledge of Mastercam, or similar software, is a strong plus but not a requirement. Please note that this is a Machinist, not a Machine Operator, position.
