About The Position

Description :

We need three Surgical Technologists to start on three different dates.

The location is in Colorado.

You will assist during surgical procedures by ensuring and maintaining the integrity of a sterile surgical field.

You will provide instrumentation as needed to the surgical team.

Participate in unit activities that assure high levels of quality related to patient care.

You will function under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Essential Job Functions :

Possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique.

Combine knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies.

Ensure that the operating room environment is safe.

Check all items for proper packaging, processing, moisture, seal and packaging integrity.

Monitor sterile fields for events that may contaminate or alter the field.

Assist the team in patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation.

Model effective and timely communication with the perioperative team.

Maintain flexibility while contributing to the individualized delivery of care.

Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands :

You may encounter potential hazards in the healthcare environment, including radiation and toxic chemicals.

You will be required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.

You will occasionally need to lift items up to 20 lbs.

The role requires the ability to communicate effectively and work under stress.

Age Specific Populations :

You will be required to care for patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
