Position Summary
The primary role of the Modular Assembler is to perform duties required to facilitate the assembly and fabrication of modular components. This role includes constructing modules using conduit, insulation, sheet metal, and structural framing. Modular Assemblers will be required to work in a shop environment, operate a variety of hand and power tools, and follow all safety protocols and workplace procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality, precision-built systems.

2nd Shift / Nights : Monday-Thursday 2 : 30pm-1 : 00am\n \n
Role Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to meet project specificationsMeasure, cut, and assemble modular framing and componentsAssemble and install conduit, insulation, sheet metal, and structural elementsJoin materials using screws, bolts, adhesives, and welding techniquesMeasure, cut, or shape steel, wood, and other construction materialsConstruct framing systems, interior partitions, and support structuresOperate forklifts, overhead cranes, and trade-specific machineryPosition and install parts and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and hoistsInspect and document product compliance and report defectsMaintain cleanliness and safety in the shop areaAccurately take measurements and calculate material needsPerform equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenanceTrain new employees and support continuous improvement effortsInterpret job orders and execute work instructionsHandle materials and track production metricsPerform other tasks as assignedQualifications
High School Diploma or equivalentPost-secondary training or technical certification is a plusHands-on experience in fabrication, modular assembly, or constructionAbility to operate equipment in a safe and responsible mannerEffective communication and time management skillsStrong mechanical aptitude and tool knowledgeAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagramsKnowledge of appropriate materials, fabrication methods, and safety practicesAbility to identify defects and maintain quality controlAbility to work independently and complete tasks on scheduleFamiliarity with construction and fabrication techniquesMust be able to work safely and efficiently in a shop environmentKnowledge of First Aid, CPR, and hazard identification is a plusKnowledge of workplace safety practices, PPE, and safe lifting proceduresMinimum Physical Requirements and Accountability
Work predominately inside and in dusty and noisy areasWork in high places, tight places, and confined spacesClimb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouchStand for long periods of timeLift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, 31 to 45 lbs. frequently, and up to 22 lbs. constantlyUse of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. safety glasses, gloves, boots, etc.)Regularly work near moving mechanical parts and in variable temperaturesMust be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects safely over timeComply with all company policies and proceduresAll employees are accountable for safety and empowered to stop work if unsafe conditions are presentRK employees and subcontractors are required to complete and maintain all safety and health training requirements including RK Orientation, shop-specific orientation, CPR / First Aid / AED / Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10What Sets RK Industries Apart
