Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting for a 20-week day shift contract.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based CT scan department
  • Day shifts : Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM
  • 20-week contract assignment
  • Patient population includes Level 1 Trauma cases
  • Will perform computerized axial tomography and assigned invasive procedures, including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered images
  • Requires documentation of Epic charting experience
  • Responsible for administering IV, oral, and rectal contrast as appropriate and managing adverse reactions
  • Screens patients for pregnancy and performs testing as required
  • Maintains equipment and work environment, including supply inventory and cleanliness
  • May assist in training students and new staff or cover duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator as needed
  • No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Returning employees may not work more than 1 year continuously and must have a 6-month break before returning
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Scrubs or dress code requirements not specified

  • Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
  • Current IEMA Radiography License required if applicable
  • Radiography (R)(ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification (NMTCB) and Computed Tomography (CT)(ARRT) required
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a CT Technologist
  • Demonstrated experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
  • Ability to perform technical and invasive CT procedures independently
  • Epic EMR experience required
