Job description

Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for :

  • Leading electrical design efforts for new products and supporting improvements to existing ones.
  • Collaborating with Product Management, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve issues and meet project objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining product performance data, including characteristic curves.
  • Participating in special engineering projects, process development, and documentation.
  • Representing the company on industry panels (e.g., NEMA, IEEE, NEC) as needed.
  • Providing engineering support across multiple locations when required.

A successful Electrical Engineer should have the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with circuit protection, power generation / distribution systems, and power electronics.
  • Experience with electrical and thermal simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of NEC / CEC standards and low / medium voltage system design.
  • Proficiency in SKM or similar software for load calculations and coordination studies.
  • Hands-on, creative problem-solver with project management experience.
  • Comfortable working in lab environments (high / low voltage, environmental testing).
  • Understanding of safety standards (UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEC).
