Position Description : Reporting to the Executive Vice President & Provost, the Provost's Office Budget Officer is a key leader responsible for supporting the Provost in assuring the financial integrity of the largest organizational unit of the institution. The Budget Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing comprehensive financial strategies that align with Southern Oregon University's mission and strategic goals. The Budget Officer provides strategic oversight and operational leadership for the budgetary and fiscal health of Academic Affairs, Enrollment Services, and Student Affairs, ensuring that proper accounting and budgeting processes are followed.
Minimum Requirements : BA / BS degree in a financially related field. Five years of relevant budgeting and accounting experience. Demonstrated expertise in organizational fiscal management. Strong experience in computer skills that include in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a group environment. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a variety of audiences Demonstrated organizational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and multitask. Experience with / ability to interact with a diverse population. Successful completion of a background check.
