Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
School-Based SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant)
Location : Kingston, Illinois
Schedule : Full-Time or Part-Time (Minimum 2 Days / Week)
Start Date : Upcoming School Year
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year in Kingston, IL . This position is available as full-time or part-time , with a strong preference for full-time availability.
Position Details :
Full-Time Schedule : 37.5 hours / week, 7 : 30 AM 3 : 30 PM
Part-Time Minimum : 15 hours / week (at least 2 days / week)
Onsite at one school campus
Serving students aged 321
Caseload divided by classroom assignments (24 classrooms depending on FTE)
Each classroom may have up to 10 students
Caseload includes a wide range of communication needs :
Limited to no verbal communication
Beginning or fluent AAC users
Highly verbal students
Approximately 60% of students have Autism as a primary or secondary diagnosis
Students range from Kindergarten through 12+ (transition-age students)
Requirements :
Active SLPA license in Illinois
School-based experience preferred but not required
Experience or comfort working with AAC and students with Autism spectrum disorders is a plus
Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills
