Job Title : Medical Technical Support Engineer

Summary
The Medical Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for executing a full spectrum of technical service activities across both the U.S. Service Center and field environments. This includes system delivery, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, recalls, and software updates, as well as equipment setup for demonstrations, exhibitions, and trade shows. The engineer will also manage Service Center operations such as preventive maintenance of the work environment and inventory control of equipment, instruments, and parts. While not a primary duty, the role may occasionally provide onsite technical support during surgical cases in collaboration with clinical teams.
As part of a growing business, this role requires a professional who can wear multiple hats in the early stages, taking ownership of diverse responsibilities while helping to build and scale the team as operations expand. Candidates must be bilingual in English and Korean, possess strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and be comfortable working in multicultural and dynamic environments. Travel up to 20% is expected, and the role requires physical capability to safely handle medical equipment.
Job description
- Coordinate and execute system delivery and installation activities.
- Perform a wide range of technical service tasks, including planned maintenance, repair, system recalls, and software updates, both onsite and at the Service Center, in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repair of products returned to the Service Center.
- Coordinate and perform equipment setup and demonstrations at exhibitions, trade shows, and customer demonstrations.
- Provide onsite technical support during surgical cases as required, in collaboration with Clinical Specialists.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of the Service Center work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Oversee and maintain equipment, instruments, and parts inventory within the US Service Center, ensuring accuracy, availability, and proper functionality.
- Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with global teams across Korean time zones as needed.
- Demonstrate familiarity with operating room protocols and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Obtain and maintain required hospital credentials by completing necessary training, vaccinations, and documentation.
Requirements and skills
Proficiency in both English and Korean languages.Demonstrated ability to :Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems, including those not encountered previously.Evaluate and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.Strong communication, organizational, and customer relationship management skills.Comfort working in a multi-cultural environment.Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.Must be able to safely lift and move equipment weighing 40 pounds.Experience in capital equipment development in the medical device sector, or in delivering technical service for complex equipment, is strongly preferred.Benefits
