Distribution Center Manager

Eaton's Bussmann Division is currently seeking a Distribution Center Manager. This is an on-site position based at our Ellisville, MO division HQ location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US / PR.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You'll Do :

We're seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to manage a high-volume distribution center, driving operational excellence across order fulfillment, safety, quality, cost, and team engagement. This role oversees both operational and functional teamsincluding Quality, EHS, HR, Customer Service, and Maintenanceand partners across the value stream to ensure seamless performance from inbound logistics to customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse operations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance processes, standard work, and team engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local regulations, including EHS and ISO standards.
  • Manage warehouse systems and infrastructure to support efficient, scalable operations.
  • Develop and manage budgets, facility lifecycle plans, and workplace improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring :

  • Proven leadership in distribution or supply chain operations.
  • Strong background in continuous improvement and team development.
  • Experience managing cross-functional departments and driving performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems and regulatory compliance.

    • Qualifications :

    Required (Basic) Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a distribution center
  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of managing professional level associates
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with fully integrated and automated Warehouse Management Systems both for core process and slotting.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems
  • Experience with quality systems and ISO certification

    • Skills :

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a multi-functional and highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to work within a unionized center understanding the union contract
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills with a proven ability to drive results
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to understand the business needs and then inspire, coach, and lead the team to meet or exceed these expectations
  • In depth knowledge of automated warehouses
  • In depth knowledge of process flow and value stream mapping to drive optimization of people, tools, and resources
  • Financial planning and forecasting skills, for budget oversight and to project results of improvement or risk in operations
