Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient acute care hospital position, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an outpatient department of a short-term acute care hospital
  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with variable start and end times, typically 7 : 00 to 15 : 00
  • Assignment length is 13 weeks
  • Possible float within hospital or to sister campus may be required
  • Uses Epic for charting and documentation
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
  • There is a two-contract limit after which a 6-month waiting period applies before returning
  • Modules must be completed prior to start and take 4–10 hours
  • RTO is at manager's discretion and a maximum of 4 days off may be approved, with only 1 holiday allowed

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent physical therapy experience required
  • Current state or compact PT license required if applicable
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the hospital
  • References and professional work history may be requested for consideration
  • No license or background hits permitted within the past year
