Position Overview :
The Phlebotomist III - Float serves as a vital representative of our company, providing compassionate and professional blood collection services to patients in various healthcare settings. This role involves drawing high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while strictly adhering to established protocols and safety standards. The Phlebotomist III - Float interacts directly with patients, fostering an environment of trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and ensuring accurate, safe, and efficient blood draws.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform blood collection and specimen preparation across multiple locations, including Patient Service Centers (PSC), mobile units, long-term care facilities, and physician offices, as required by business needs.
- Provide coverage and support for various roles within assigned locations, ensuring smooth daily operations and timely completion of all tasks.
- Act as a lead on site, mentoring and coaching Phlebotomist IIs and Patient Service Representatives (PSRs), facilitating onboarding and serving as a resource for new employees.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient information and specimens.
- Manage high-volume, complex, and specialized blood collection orders, collaborating effectively with multiple internal departments such as Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics.
- Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic certification) preferred.Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington; preferred in other locations.Experience :
Minimum of five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.At least three years experience working in a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) setting preferred.Prior customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.
