Job Description

As a Composite Technician, you will be responsible for repairing damaged composite aircraft sidewalls. This involves removing sidewalls from crates, inspecting for damage, and performing a series of manual processes including de-laminating, sanding, pre-painting, applying epoxy, and re-laminating to restore the parts to their original condition. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in ensuring each part is visually inspected and looks impeccable before re-packaging. Additionally, you will assemble small parts using hand tools in a manual process.

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged composite aircraft sidewalls.
• Remove Composite Sidewalls from crates and inspect for damage.
• De-laminate, sand, pre-paint, apply epoxy, and re-laminate parts.
• Perform visual inspection of parts to ensure quality.
• Assemble up to 15-18 small parts using hand tools.

Work Environment

You will work a 4 / 10 schedule, Monday through Thursday from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with a half-hour lunch break. Overtime may be required as needed. You will be part of a team consisting of 5-10 people. Owning your tools is a plus but not a requirement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $37.00 / hr.
