Location : Middlebury, CT

Pay : $26 / hr. $30 / hr.

A growing company is currently hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist to own the end-to-end AP process. This role will support invoice processing, vendor management, and payment controls, while also contributing to process improvements. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking professional with strong experience in three-way matching and high-volume AP operations.

Responsibilities Include

• Process 400600 invoices monthly using GreatPlains
• Perform 3-way match (PO / receipt / invoice) for inventory purchases, including partials and backorders
• Enter non-PO invoices with proper GL and department coding
• Validate pricing, quantities, terms, freight, and surcharges; resolve variances
• Set up and maintain vendor records, including terms and contact details
• Reconcile vendor statements; manage credits, short-pays, and unapplied cash
• Respond to vendor inquiries and manage shared inbox professionally
• Prepare weekly payment runs (ACH, checks, credit cards); capture early-pay discounts
• Process credit notes, restocking fees, and return authorizations
• Maintain strong internal controls and documentation
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Accounting teams
• Provide feedback on process improvements and system efficiencies
