Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. This role involves various clerical duties, including managing shipping and billing processes, ensuring timely communication with carriers, and performing tasks using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and more. Experience with Oracle and R12 is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate must be able to work standard business hours and some Saturdays, as needed, in a fast-paced environment.

Shift : 8 : 00 am- 4 : 30 pm, Monday - Friday, with potential overtime when needed

• Clerical Duties : Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, organizing documents, maintaining records, and assisting with office operations related to shipping and receiving
• Copying and Scanning : Use office equipment to copy and scan important documents related to shipping and billing for accurate record-keeping
• Data Entry : Input shipping and billing information into databases or systems (e.g., Oracle, R12) and ensure all records are updated correctly
• Communication : Reply to carrier inquiries and customer service requests in a professional and timely manner. Ensure all communications are clear, accurate, and documented
• Excel and Word : Use Microsoft Excel to manage spreadsheets, track shipments, and generate reports. Utilize Microsoft Word for preparing documents and correspondence
• Shipping Coordination : Assist in coordinating shipments and preparing necessary documentation such as packing lists, shipping labels, and bills of lading
• Timeliness and Reliability : Maintain consistent and reliable attendance and be able to adapt to varying work hours, including some Saturdays as required
