PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB :

Process orders of parts through nital etch / temper etch / ammonium persulfate etching operations per shop traveler requirements and interpret results of testing.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES / KEY RESULTS REQUIRED :

• Rack and prepare parts for processing through the nital etch line
• Prepare parts for nital etch processing by abrasive blasting and glass bead cleaning
• Interpret accurate results from the nital etch process
• Recognize real and false indications and be able to distinguish between
• Report results of testing on shop traveler
• Package and prepare parts for embrittlement relief following nital etching
• Perform other duties as assigned by foreman.

WILL ACT AS BACK UP FOR THE FOLLOWING :

MAG General Helper I, II, and III

SUPERVISION OF OTHERS :

Only as needed to prepare parts for processing and post-processing bake operation.
