Role and Team
- Reporting to the designated manager, assist with the outside and / or administrative functions of one or more of the following departments : Dealer Consignment, Commercial Accounts or Retail Accounts.
Responsibilities
Assist in assuring vehicle inventory is in the proper designated areas of the lot or shops. Apply appropriate numbering and tagging for lot and shop identificationAct as a liaison between the auction and designated customer representativesReview vehicle inventory with customer representatives and recommend reconditioning work based on the account criteriaDetermine which vehicles need outside reconditioning services (PDR, Glass, etc)Review and write repair orders and coordinate vehicle repairs with the shops.Locate, number and move vehicles to designated area on the LotConfirm vehicle mileage, make year and VINCommunicate with shop and operations teams to ensure an efficient flow of inventory from vehicle check in, inspections, shops and auction sale line until vehicle is checked outAssist with physical inventory on a periodic basisUse electronic devices to scan inventory and record movement of vehicles on propertyFlag vehicles, add final stickers, mark numbers on windshield and place on spot for the saleWalk vehicles with customer representatives prior to the sale for a final quality checkTake photos of vehicles as neededTrack missing units and assist with locating vehicles for customersUse PC to enter repair orders, look up vehicle information and update vehicle dataMay assist with educating Vehicle Inspectors on the SOP for each accountMay ensure arbitrated units are restocked into inventory and proper announcements are madeMay identify and add / verify vehicle announcements and reports are accurate for pre-saleMay make basic vehicle diagnostic determinations to determine if a vehicle needs to be moved to the Mechanic ShopMay operate gas dollies, lock out tools, or jump packsMay coordinate a sale lane on sale dayAny other duties assigned by the designated managerSkills and Attributes
