The Center for Apprenticeship & Adult Training at New Horizons Regional Education Centers is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Cybersecurity Security+ Instructor to join our team. This part-time evening position at the Butler Farm Campus involves preparing adult learners for success in the field of cybersecurity and guiding them toward earning the Security+ Certification.
Position Overview :
The Cybersecurity Security+ Instructor will be responsible for teaching adult students fundamental and advanced concepts of cybersecurity, preparing them for the NOCTI and Security+ certifications. The instructor will foster an engaging, professional, and safe learning environment while utilizing diverse teaching methods and maintaining high standards of classroom management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver a program of study that meets the individual needs of students and prepares them for industry certification.
- Secure and prepare instructional materials in advance, providing written evidence of preparation as required.
- Assist in evaluating, selecting, and requisitioning instructional resources, equipment, and supplementary materials.
- Implement system-wide curriculum programs effectively and participate in curriculum development.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Utilize a variety of resources, methods, and materials to enhance instruction and engagement.
- Evaluate and provide timely feedback on student progress and accomplishments.
- Develop partnerships with business and industry professionals to support program goals.
- Maintain a professional and safe classroom environment while enforcing safety protocols.
- Take precautions to protect and maintain facilities, equipment, and materials.
- Emphasize professionalism and uphold classroom rules that foster a conducive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications :
Proficiency in :Developing basic network designs and connectivity.Configuring network architecture.Documenting network designs and configurations.Identifying network limitations and weaknesses.Implementing network security standards and protocols.Applying industry standards, practices, and network theory in cybersecurity.Required Certifications :
Eligible candidates should hold one or more of the following certifications :
