Registered Nurse – PCU / Cardiac

Unit Name : 5T PCU

Requirements :

Must have an active TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing

Minimum 2 years of PCU experience

Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, EKG Interpretation

Must Have :

Experience with post-op CABGs, vascular, and general cardiac patient populations

Knowledge of cardiac drips / titrations and electrolyte replacement

Management of chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR bands

Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 33

Patient Ratios : 3 : 1 / 4 : 1

Unit Staffing : Unit Secretaries M–F 7a–7p; Nurse Extern availability at times

Documentation System : Meditech

Scheduling Requirements : Work every other weekend; 36 hours / week; flexibility to fill scheduling needs

Floating Policy : Contract labor first to float

Patient Experience Requirements : Focus on pain management, communication, and responsiveness

Dress Code (Required) :

Scrubs : Galaxy Blue, Red, or Black
