Customer Service Representative (Manufacturing)
Synerfac is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our client in Newport News, VA. Our client is a leader in custom precision sheet metal manufacturing on the East Coast. Responsibilities include representing our company in a professional and positive manner, data entry of all incoming customer orders, creating job packets of all customer orders for production, and creating bills of materials from customer drawings. Additional duties include creating physical and digital records for new items, producing and updating Excel spreadsheet reports, discussing discrepancies with supervisors and customers, answering customer inquiries, communicating with engineers and supervisors by phone, email, and in person, calling customers to maintain relationships, filing physical and digital part drawings, purchase orders, etc., scanning documents to server, printing labels, answering phones, routing phone calls, taking messages, and other miscellaneous projects or duties as assigned.
Job Requirements : 3+ years of customer service representative or admin experience in manufacturing or related field, computer knowledge and skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook and Word, with the ability to understand and maintain simple spreadsheets. Must be comfortable with computers. Ability to type with speed and accuracy - touch typing & 10 key (50WMP typing speed desired), basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and the ability to convert fractions to decimals, inches to mm, etc. Ability to accurately file alphabetically and / or numerically. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate.
