Requirements : Education :

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, Radiologic Technology program, or equivalent two-year allied health program

Certification :

ARDMS registration with ABD (Abdominal) or OB / GYN credential required

Experience :

1-5 years of paid ultrasound scanning experience preferred

Open to experienced sonographers with additional training in advanced modalities

Strong technical and diagnostic skills to perform customized examinations based on patient presentation and clinical indications

Key Responsibilities :

Perform routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures independently with physician oversight as needed

Customize each examination to patient anatomy and clinical indications, adjusting techniques to ensure optimal image quality

Collaborate with physicians and radiology staff to ensure accurate and efficient diagnosis

Recognize and document pathological findings while maintaining patient comfort and safety

Maintain technical competency and participate in ongoing education to stay current in sonography practices
