Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Computer Operator IV to join our team and to oversee mission-critical computer systems, networks, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the monitoring and control of mission-critical computer systems, networks, and peripheral equipment to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans, including software updates, system backups, hardware checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning, following industry best practices.
• Lead identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex operational issues, system errors, and hardware / software malfunctions, coordinating with technical support teams, vendors, and stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Establish and enforce data security and integrity protocols, including data backup, recovery, access controls, and regulatory / compliance measures.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of system operations, maintenance activities, incidents, performance metrics, and configurations.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of computer operators and support staff, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT professionals, system administrators, and stakeholders to optimize system performance, implement enhancements, and plan for future requirements and upgrades.
• Stay up-to-date with technologies, tools, and best practices in computer operations and maintenance; drive adoption of new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in project planning and implementation activities related to system upgrades, migrations, or new deployments, ensuring successful execution and readiness.
• Develop and manage budgets, resource allocations, and operational plans for the computer operations team and infrastructure.
