Job Summary :

The Radiation Therapist delivers radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. This role involves operating radiation therapy equipment, monitoring patients during treatment, and ensuring accurate treatment delivery. The therapist may work with various treatment techniques and technologies, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities :

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments according to the radiation oncologist's prescription.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators.
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond to any adverse reactions.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment delivery.
• Document treatment parameters and patient information.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure treatment accuracy and safety.
• Assist in the preparation of treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and support.
