Are you a skilled Physician Assistant with a passion for Cardiothoracic Surgery? We have a compelling locum tenens opportunity for you located near East Rochester, OH. Join our dynamic team for a fulfilling assignment from December 25, 2023, to January 2, 2024, and contribute your expertise to a collaborative healthcare environment.

Position Highlights :

  • Profession : Physician Assistant
  • Specialty : Cardiothoracic Surgery

  • End Date : January 2, 2024

of Providers Needed :

  • Shift Type : 24-Hour
  • Shift Description : Hospital rounding, surgical procedures (elective and emergent), clinic assistance, and on-call responsibilities
  • Weekend Requirements : Rounding and on-call (24-hour call)
  • On-Call Requirements : Nights and weekends

    • Qualifications :

  • NCCPA Certified - REQUIRED
  • Active OH License or IMLC (LOQ in hand) - REQUIRED
  • Active ACLS, DEA - REQUIRED
  • Clean Malpractice - REQUIRED
  • Minimum 1+ year surgical experience in Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgery - REQUIRED
  • Availability for specific dates in the job description - REQUIRED
  • Disclosure of any prior work at CHI / Dignity facility - REQUIRED
  • Covid vaccinated - REQUIRED

    • Certification Requirements :

  • ACLS
  • DEA
  • NCCPA

    • License Requirements :

  • Ohio

    • Job Description :

    Seeks a qualified Surgical PA with a minimum of 1+ year surgical experience to assist in Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery. The coverage includes hospital rounding, elective and emergent surgeries, clinic assistance, and on-call responsibilities. The facility uses Meditech and eCW for electronic medical records.

    Additional Details :

  • Setting : Acute hospital
  • Duties : Hospital rounding, surgical procedures, clinic assistance, on-call
  • FTE : 1.0
  • Required Procedures : CABG, thoracic, vascular, cardiac surgery
  • EMR : Meditech and eCW
  • Support Staff : Office Supervisor
  • Reason for Coverage : Full-time PA on vacation

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Removal of Chest Tubes
  • Removal of Pulmonary Artery Catheter
  • Removal of Epicardial Wires
  • Removal of Intra Aortic Balloon Pump
  • Vein and Artery Harvesting
