SITEC Cybersecurity Analyst (JR) MacDill AFB

Responsibilities

Peraton requires Cybersecurity Analysts to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 EOM. This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM its Component Commands its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration change license and asset management; conduct training and perform Install Move Add Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM the CIO / J6 organization and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations while contributing to the SITEC 3 EOM mission of supporting USSOCOMs global operations. The Junior Cyber Security Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the security and resilience of systems critical to USSOCOMs mission success.

• Ability to strategically identify and assess anomalies suspicious activities and cyber threats using advanced monitoring tools and techniques.
• Expertise in analyzing patterns and trends to proactively mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency in supporting effective incident management processes including triage investigation and escalation of complex issues.
• Skilled in documenting findings and ensuring adherence to incident handling protocols.
• Ability to generate insightful reports and metrics to support compliance and operational strategies.
• Skilled in fostering teamwork and cross-functional collaboration to create a unified defense strategy.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical insights and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Commitment to staying ahead of emerging cyber threats and technologies through ongoing education and certifications.
• Strategic mindset to adapt tools and techniques to the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
• Operate within a 24 / 7 SOC environment which may require shift work including nights weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

This position has a 12 hour rotating shift work schedule totaling 80 hours for the two-week pay period.

Target Salary Range

$66000 - $106000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
