Trial Attorney
Location : Flexible – primarily regional with limited travel as needed
Compensation : $150k to $200k + benefits + bonus + equity opportunity
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join a dynamic and growing litigation practice representing clients in Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, and Medical Malpractice matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a trial lawyer who thrives in the courtroom and values client advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- These are defense cases where you will be representing companies involved in the matters.
- Handle all phases of litigation—from case intake and discovery through trial or negotiated resolution.
- Conduct and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses.
- Develop and execute persuasive trial strategies grounded in strong factual, medical, and legal foundations.
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and evidentiary motions.
- Lead mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials with confidence and professionalism.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel to advance cases efficiently.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and litigation support staff.
Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar ; admission to the New York Bar is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience , with significant exposure to personal injury, workers’ compensation, or medical malpractice cases.Proven ability to manage complex discovery, high-value cases, and trial preparation.Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, with confidence in courtroom presentation.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive to client and team needs.Preferred Experience
Successful trial experience and demonstrated record of favorable verdicts or settlements.Experience collaborating with medical professionals and technical experts.Background in handling both plaintiff and defense matters is a plus.Compensation & Benefits
