Associate Analyst, gSOX and Internal Controls Compliance
As an Associate Analyst on Google's SOX team (gSOX), you will work closely with the gSOX team to design and maintain an effective and scalable internal control environment, ensuring the program is executed on time and with high quality.
Primary responsibilities include overseeing an external workforce of over 80 resources, which includes managing onboarding, access, contracting, and budget modeling. This position provides day-to-day oversight by triaging issues and resolving roadblocks to ensure timely deliverables. Furthermore, you will build and strengthen metrics and reporting for all stakeholders by utilizing SQL and PLX.
Minimum qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of professional experience related to accounting or auditing
- Experience working with SOX, ICFR, and internal control design and operations
Preferred qualifications :
CPA / CAExperience in SOX risk assessment, scoping, testing, deficiency assessment, and concluding / reportingAbility to navigate through ambiguity and manage and coordinate multiple project assignmentsPeople skills with the ability to work with teams cross-functionallySelf-driven, proactive, and an ability to adapt quicklyExceptional written and verbal communication skillsResponsibilities :
Manage and drive compliance with the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) program and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 requirements.Establish partnerships with Line 1 risk and control advisors to the process and control owners to ensure consistency in controls across our global business.Work closely with the gSOX management team to provide support and oversight for Google's global SOX program. This includes facilitating cross-functional coordination between testing firms and external auditors, managing due dates, delays and roadblocks, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.Oversee our 80+ testers by supporting their access and contracting, and building and adjusting their budget models throughout the year.Build and strengthen our SOX metrics and reporting for all stakeholders utilizing SQL and PLX.
