Description :
A professional nurse is an individual accountable for the care of a group of patients.
The Registered Nurse focuses on safe effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
The Nurse is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit and promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
The Nurse supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.
The Nurse is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care.
The Nurse focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction.
The Nurse applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring / precepting staff.
Job Responsibilities :
Performs assessments and reassessments as warranted by patient condition.
Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions.
Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care.
Reviews and revises the plan as indicated.
Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services.
Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family.
Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions.
Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs.
Facilitates teamwork among staff.
Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement.
Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts.
Implements practice changes and complies with regulatory standards.
