Performing a wide range of general laboratory support operations in the Biochemistry group; coordinating the receipt and inventory log entry of reagents and supplies; maintaining inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies; performing daily equipment status monitoring; assisting in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment

• Applies GMP / GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Coordinate the receipt and entry of reagents and supplies into the department inventory log
• Maintain inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies and communicate those logs to the appropriate individuals
• Assist appropriate personnel in the location of and eventual removal of reagents and supplies from the active laboratory population when expired or exhausted
• Assist in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment including biological safety cabinets, incubators, refrigerators, waterbaths, centrifuges, and platewashers
• Assist in the proper disposal of laboratory generated waste
• Ability to access and use computer programming including PC software
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ) : To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education / Experience (BMQ) : High school diploma or equivalent

Ability and / or Skills (BMQ) : Reasoning skills, including logical thinking and deductive reasoning; good work habits (i.e., cleanliness, efficiency, cautiousness); accuracy in transcribing information; personal maturity and sense of responsibility; good oral and written communication skills; ability to learn new tasks, willingness to follow instructions and comply with company policies; consciuosness of, and a positive attitude toward quality control and safety procedures; good organizational skills; self motivated to improve; ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; problem solving ability; retain important information and function under medium stress levels; ability to work well with others and as part of a team
