First Trinity Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced VPK Director who will also serve as the Lead Teacher for a small Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) class. This unique dual role combines leadership, teaching, and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high-quality, nurturing, and standards-driven learning experience for our 4-year-old students.
Responsibilities as VPK Director :
Oversee day-to-day operations of the VPK program
Ensure compliance with all Florida VPK program requirements and Early Learning Coalition (ELC) guidelines
Submit rosters and maintain audit-ready records
Supervise and support any VPK assistant teachers or aides
Communicate with families and participate in school events and readiness initiatives
As VPK Lead Teacher :
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Florida Early Learning Standards
Foster a warm, safe, and literacy-rich classroom environment
Assess student growth and prepare them for kindergarten success
Maintain daily attendance and progress reports
Build strong relationships with students and their families
Qualifications :
Florida Director's Credential with VPK endorsement (required)
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor's preferred)
At least 1-3 years of classroom experience in early childhood education
Strong understanding of child development, early literacy, and curriculum planning
CPR / First Aid certified or willing to obtain
Organized, reliable, nurturing, and a strong communicator
