Underwriting Assistant

We support the market through close partnerships with an established distribution network of retail and wholesale insurance professionals. Our brokers and agents cater to a global base of clients in a variety of environments, including private and corporate art collections, museums, galleries, and exhibition, jewelry wholesalers, retailers, and manufacturers, along with those who work with collectibles, currencies, securities, and other high-value assets. Our claims and loss control operation is the undisputed gold standard for the entire fine art and jewelry insurance industry.
This role will be based in our West Hartford, CT office and require in office 5 days a week till becoming a full time employee where it will be 4 days in the office, 1 work from home.

Responsibilities
As an Underwriting Assistant, you will process underwriting support tasks for a line of business for the lifecycle of an account. The account lifecycle may include (but is not limited to : issuance of new business quotes, binders, policies, and mid-term endorsements, renewal solicitations, renewal raters, quotes, binder, policies, and mid-term endorsements, audits, cancellations and non-renewals (both Insured and Company request). Depending on your level of experience, you may have some limited underwriting authority.
