The Sepsis Coordinator is a health care professional who works in collaboration with the medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to the septic patient. The Sepsis Coordinator provides clinical, professional expertise for patients, families, staff members and to healthcare providers. The scope of practice includes ensuring organized care is provided to the patient with sepsis with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention. The Coordinator also functions as a resource and coordinates in critical care / sepsis patient care management and outcomes.
