We are seeking an experienced Global Program Manager (GPM) to join a high-impact, fast-paced environment supporting a key global client. The GPM will serve as a strategic partner to the Product Team Leader (PTL) and Development Lead , driving alignment across cross-functional teams, ensuring effective execution of program strategy, and enabling informed decision-making across the Product Team (PT) and Research & Development Team (RDT) .
This role carries primary accountability for overall program outcomes and requires a proactive leader who can balance strategic insight with operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive alignment across program interdependencies and portfolio-level goals.
- Partner with PTL and Development Lead to execute program strategy and ensure milestone achievement.
- Lead goal-setting, progress tracking, and communication of outcomes across teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of timelines, budgets, and data within enterprise portfolio systems.
- Ensure program information is current and transparent across online dashboards and tools.
- Identify, escalate, and track risks; ensure robust mitigation plans are in place.
- Prepare teams for governance reviews (e.g., Portfolio Committee, Development Review Committee), ensuring readiness and alignment.
- Lead bi-annual operating planning, including accurate cost forecasting.
- Partner with finance, operations, and functional leaders to manage budgets and resource allocations.
- Monitor and report on program health and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure leadership visibility.
- Develop executive-ready materials to communicate program status, strategy, and recommendations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.Strong foundation in project / program management principles; PMP certification or equivalent preferred.Extensive experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in pharma / biotech.Preferred Qualifications
Deep functional expertise in one or more areas : Research, Development, or Commercialization.Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle ; early development experience strongly preferred.Oncology and / or cell therapy program management experience highly desirable.Proven ability to influence without authority and foster cross-functional alignment.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complexity into actionable insights.Strategic and analytical thinker with demonstrated success navigating ambiguity.Self-driven, adaptable, and effective in dynamic, fast-paced environments.Experience with Planisware or similar project portfolio management tools preferred.
