The Content Developer transforms complex technical concepts into engaging, accessible learning and marketing materials. This role blends technical writing, multimedia production, and creative problem-solving to showcase our industrial automation products—including PLCs, HMIs, IPCs, and more. You’ll develop cohesive content that bridges multiple product lines, ensuring every piece is accurate, consistent, and easy to understand.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create clear, visually engaging tutorials, videos, and training modules for Industrial Automation Control devices, often integrating multiple product lines.
  • Lead cross-product content projects, ensuring technical accuracy and cohesive storytelling across product families.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, marketing, and technical support teams to gather insights, verify details, and align on messaging.
  • Implement and manage SEO strategies, optimizing all content for visibility, usability, and accessibility.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert, providing guidance and resolving challenges related to technical content creation.
  • Perform additional duties and content initiatives assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of industrial control systems (PLCs, HMIs, HMI+PLC Combos, IPCs, Industrial Network Switches, Rugged Tablets, etc.)
  • Proven technical writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in video creation and editing, from concept to final production.
  • Solid grasp of SEO best practices and digital marketing fundamentals.
  • Competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong project management abilities, balancing multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Supervisory Responsibility

    This position does not supervise others.

    Education / Experience

    Two years related experience.

    Language Ability

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a group of managers, customers, and the general public.

    Math Ability

    Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
