Revenue Cycle Specialist

Rothman Orthopaedics is looking for a Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team! The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for inputting charges submitting daily claims to insurance carriers and obtaining records needed for submission. This individual will correct electronic claim validation errors and payer rejections. They will resolve electronic patient statement errors and process returned mail. They will process incoming checks payments batches and correspondence and distribute as needed. The Revenue Cycle Specialist will also serve as a floater and will provide cover for other departments. The Revenue Cycle Specialist will support a work environment of high accountability and ownership. If you are qualified for and interested in this role please apply.

Hours: Mon - Fri: 8am - 4:30pm

Compensation:$19.00/hr - $23.00/hr*

*Suggested rate will be based on candidates years of direct relevant experience

Responsibilities:

• Sorts prepares processes and mails out daily paper claims
• Attaches required documentation for claim submission as well obtaining and attaching primary carrier EOBs to secondary payer claims
• Work and submit electronic claims
• Resolves electronic claim validation errors and payer rejections
• Resolves patient statement address errors
• Processes return mail and updates system with correct mailing address
• Processes lockbox and other correspondence and distributes as needed
• Verifies insurance insurance and contacts patients when necessary
• Serves as a floater to provide coverage for other departments and performs other duties as assigned
• Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED minimum education requirement.
• Three years experience in billing office of a healthcare organization.
• Medical billing office knowledge including CPT Codes ICD10 codes HFCA 1500 claim forms familiarity with EHR medical billing. software and websites typically used for medical billing.
• Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office.
• Must have excellent data entry and customer service skills.
• Effective organizational time management and analytical skills required.
