Chief Financial Officer - social media startup

Im in the early stages of developing a new social media platform designed to challenge the status quo and put people and their own expressions not just algorithms at the center of connection. This new company app will be designed to connect individuals and groups in a manner not widely utilized before.

This can be far more than just another app. Its a vision for how we interact, communicate, build and bring together communities, and share our lives in a more meaningful, ethical, and empowering and creative way. I want to create a way to feel like you are truly part of the community, even if youve never been there. I am looking to compete with the likes of Facebook, X, Tik Tok, Snapchat and other social media platforms in a unique way that no other platform has pushed for. And to bring it to life, Im assembling a founding team of talented, driven, and creative professionals who want to help build something from the ground up.

With our MVP in early development, I'm looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our founding team. This role is perfect for a finance leader who wants to help shape a company from the ground up and play a central role in funding, scaling, and guiding growth.

What Youll Do

= Fundraising Partner : Lead fundraising strategy and investor relations (angels, VCs, crowdfunding).

= Financial Strategy : Build and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support scaling.

= Capital Management : Ensure smart use of resources, oversee cash flow, and prepare us for growth.

= Compliance & Governance : Manage accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance as we scale.

Strategic Advisor : Partner with the CEO and CTO on company vision, business model, and long-term growth plans.

What Were Looking For

Startup Finance Experience : Proven track record raising capital and managing finances in a startup or high-growth environment.

Fundraising Expertise : Strong relationships with angels, VCs, or experience navigating crowdfunding / accelerators.

Hands-On Operator : Willing to roll up sleeves set up accounting systems, build pitch decks, negotiate terms.

Strategic Thinker : Ability to model business growth, revenue streams, and financial risks with clarity.
