Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics - $2,488 per week in Fort Wayne, IN

Job Title : Pediatric Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Pediatrics Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7pm - 7am Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : 2 years in Pediatrics License : RN license (compact or state specific) Certifications : BLS through AHA, PALS through AHA Must-Have : - EPIC experience is required - Experience in a facility with Level 2 trauma and 400 beds Description : Care for pediatric patients between the ages of 3 days to 18 years. This includes managing common childhood illnesses, including COVID-positive patients. The nurse must possess a high level of knowledge regarding pediatric patients across all levels of care. Responsibilities include care for pediatric trauma, respiratory issues, RSV, general surgical cases, and birth defects. More complex surgical cases will be referred out. Equipment utilized in the unit includes EPIC for charting and Pyxis for medication management. The nurse will work 3 shifts per week, each shift lasting 12 hours. Overtime options may be available. Floating to the PICU may occur as needed for assistance. The unit has a bed capacity of 28. The nurse-to-patient ratio in this unit is 1 : 4. Caribbean blue scrubs are required as part of the dress code. The candidate must have experience in a Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary care setting.
