Paragon Services, located in Phoenix, AZ, is currently seeking qualified candidates for Building Engineer positions to be assigned to various locations within the Phoenix area. Candidates should possess basic building maintenance experience along with HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical skills.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check prior to employment.
  • Reliable vehicle with current registration, proof of insurance, and valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of 3 years trades or commercial real estate experience.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • HVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance (Heat Pump, Evaporative Coolers, Package and Split systems).
  • Obtain and compare estimates for work by outside vendors to ensure competitive bidding.
  • Electrical work : re-lamping, ballast replacement, breaker resets.
  • Plumbing fixture repairs, drain maintenance, restroom preventative maintenance.
  • Adjust doors and closers, repair T-bar drop ceiling grid, replace ceiling tiles.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair building mechanical systems.
  • Perform visual roof inspections and minor repairs.
  • Maintain utility and storage rooms in a clean, organized manner.
  • Respond to work orders from property management.
  • Perform general labor, painting, exterior facade repairs, and general repairs and maintenance.

    • Requirements :

    Education / Experience : High school diploma or GED; 3 years relevant experience or training; trade certifications are a plus.

    Communication Skills : Ability to read and understand instructions, emails, and brief correspondence. Capable of writing simple reports and presenting information effectively.

    Physical Requirements : Ability to sit, walk, bend, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on ladders and rooftops.
