Family Practice Center, P.C. is looking for a Payroll Specialist on our Administration team. Family Practice operates 80 office locations in central PA counties. The Payroll Specialist is a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll employee who will co-manage and oversee all aspects of payroll administration. This role is critical in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing for the organization. The Payroll Specialist will demonstrate exceptional analytical abilities, a commitment to confidentiality, and a proactive approach to process improvement and regulatory compliance.
Key Duties / Responsibilities :
- Administer and process company payroll in a timely and accurate manner, including salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
- Maintain and update payroll systems with employee data, including new hires, terminations, and pay changes.
- Review and audit payroll reports for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations relating to wage and hour laws, tax filings, and reporting requirements.
- Prepares, maintains, and distributes accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure seamless data integration and consistency.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend enhancements to payroll systems, software, and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll records and sensitive information.
