Position Summary

Wolverine Packing is hiring Preventive Maintenance Technicians!! The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician performs scheduled inspections, servicing, and minor repairs on production equipment and facility systems within a meat processing plant. This role ensures all machinery operates safely, reliably, and efficiently to support continuous production. The technician focuses on minimizing downtime, identifying potential failures early, and maintaining compliance with food safety and USDA standards.

Reports To : Maintenance Supervisor

6 day work schedule, varies by plant, 45 - 55 hours per week

Pay is flexible based on experience : $22-$26 / HR

Location : Detroit, Michigan

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt / Full-Time

Key Responsibilities :

Preventive Maintenance

• Perform routine PM tasks on meat-processing equipment such as conveyors, grinders, slicers, vemag machines, mixers, vacuum packers, scales, refrigeration systems, and automated cutting / packaging lines.
• Lubricate equipment, replace worn components, adjust mechanical settings, and verify all safety guards and sensors are functional.
• Inspect and maintain facility equipment and systems as needed.
• Ensure all PM work follows manufacturer guidelines, plant SOPs, and sanitation requirements.
