Responsibilities Position is based in a critical access hospital with a total of 25 beds Labor and Delivery RN covers all areas : antepartum, labor, postpartum, and newborn care Patient ratios are 1 : 1-2 for labor and 1 : 1-3 for postpartum Average of 10 deliveries per month with a level 1 nursery Floating to Med / Surg and Telemetry required as needed, including assisting with various patient care duties Day shifts : three 12-hour shifts per week (6 : 00-18 : 00) Every other weekend coverage required Uses Pyxis medication system and Meditech EMR Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across the OB unit including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care Assists on the Med / Surg floor with tasks such as answering call lights and administering medications Level 1 nursery; newborns requiring specialty care are transferred Scrubs are provided Some holiday coverage is expected First-time travelers may be considered based on experience RTO requests should be minimal, with no extended time off scheduled during the first two weeks or for full calendar weeks without prior approval Requirements Active WY or compact RN license required Current certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced OB experience required Competency in immediate newborn care and resuscitation Ability to assist as a PCT or unit secretary as needed Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624979.
