• Work every other weekend with weekend coverage required
• Patient ratios of 1 : 6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to Med / Surg units as needed
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Alabama license
• Required work settings experience : MS / Tele, Tele, and PCU / Stepdown
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Must be able to start IVs and follow Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response / Code teams, blood product administration, central line care / management, peripheral line care / management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and telemetry
• Charting system experience required (any system acceptable)
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Modules completed during orientation vary by specialty and average 8 hours
