About the Role :

The Activities Aide plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents (Members) within the Firefighter's Home by organizing and facilitating engaging recreational and therapeutic activities. This position focuses on promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical well-being among Members, contributing to their overall health and happiness. The Activities Aide collaborates closely with nursing staff, therapists, and family members to tailor activities that meet individual needs and preferences. By creating a supportive and inclusive environment, the aide helps foster a sense of community and belonging. Ultimately, this role is essential in supporting the holistic care approach, ensuring members remain active, engaged, and emotionally fulfilled.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a healthcare, recreational, or caregiving role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of activity planning and implementation for elderly or disabled populations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members, families, and healthcare professionals
• The ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to assist members and manage activity materials and equipment.
