Job Title : Patient Service Representative - Float
Allergy and Asthma Medical Group (AAMG) operates specialty clinics in the field of allergy and asthma throughout the California Bay Area. We are currently hiring for 2 separate Float Positions; full-time and part-time.
- Full time : M, T, W, Th, F; 8 : 30AM-5 : 30PM
- Part-time : M, W, F; 8 : 30AM-5 : 30PM
Floating : Floating occurs as needed; main office location will be Walnut Creek
Qualifications : Education : High school diploma or graduation equivalency degree (GED). Knowledge of office procedures usually obtained from a certificate or Associates degree in a business program including administrative processes and procedures, preparing patient charts, and basic computer skills. Working knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred
Experience : Entry level, previous office administration or receptionist experience or a minimum of one year work experience in a medical office setting.
Skills or Other Qualifications : Excellent communication skills, basic knowledge of computers, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment. Telephone etiquette, customer service, basic word and excel programs, time management, multi-tasking, organization, scheduling
Job Summary / Responsibilities :
Greet patientsRegister patients according to established protocolsAssist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insuranceEnsure patient information is accurate including billing informationInform patients of medical office procedures and policyMaintain and manage patient recordsMove patients through appointments as scheduledAnswer incoming calls and deal with inquiriesTransfer calls as requiredSchedule patient appointmentsCollect co-pays and paymentsReport statistics as requiredObtain external medical reports as required by medical professionalsRespond and comply to requests for informationDeal with incoming and outgoing postComplete other clerical duties as assignedMaintain stock of forms and office suppliesEnsure reception area is well maintained, neat and cleanSafeguard patient privacy and confidentialityEssential Responsibilities :
