As a Bakery Manager, you are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Bakery department, and get to know our customers, and treat them to excellent service. - certified Bakery Expert or equivalent (e.g., RBA-certified Master Baker)
- School of Retail Management (SORM) training
What is the work?
Management :
Spends majority of time using independent judgment making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions, including product- and department-related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related mattersTrains School of Retail Management (SORM) and School of Retail Leadership (SORL) traineesAssists all partners in the department with their duties; coaches / trains; and evaluates as neededHolds partners accountable for following SOPsPrepares work schedules, orders product, controls inventory, monitors department budget and payrollProduction :
Prepares the production plan; ensures correct quantities are producedMaintains correct product levels by conducting weekly reviews of production quantitiesMonitors showcase production and stales trackingAccountable for results of Bakery ScorecardSales :
Executes merchandising programs and drives sales by producing appropriate variety and quantity of bakery products dailyResponsible for large product assortment and sales volumeIncreases department contribution by effectively managing shrink and inventory levelsMaintains the highest levels of customer service through personal example, SOP compliance, and accountabilityFood Safety / Sanitation :
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and H-E-B policy and standards for product food safety and sanitationMaintains safety / sanitation of equipment and department; maintains sanitation standards throughout the work areaWhat is your background?
