Title : CT Technologist
Location : Dallas, TX
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (12 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM)
Job Responsibilities :
Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal scans.
Conduct special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, myelography, CT arthrography, and vascular imaging (CTA).
Prepare and administer IV and oral contrast materials, ensuring proper patient safety and monitoring.
Utilize post-processing techniques such as 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and volume rendering.
Operate and maintain CT equipment (Philips and Siemens) ensuring optimal image quality and safety.
Follow isolation precautions, radiation safety, and infection control protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
Work in a high-volume imaging department performing 10+ procedures daily and supporting over 200 scans per day.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Certifications : ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), BLS, State Radiologic Technologist License (TX required)
Experience : Minimum 2 years of CT experience (2-3 years preferred); prior travel experience required
Charting System : Epic (preferred)
Technical Skills :
Image display and post-processing (3D rendering, MPR, ROI measurement)
Abdomen / pelvis, chest, head / neck, and musculoskeletal imaging
Vascular and cardiac CT (coronary CTA, calcium scoring, perfusion studies)
Contrast media administration, venipuncture, and peripheral IV starts
Equipment : Philips and Siemens CT scanners
Work Settings : Adult acute care, ICU, ED, Level I and II trauma centers
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in high-acuity trauma centers (Level I or II) Three years of recent experience preferred, especially for first-time travelers Strong familiarity with Epic charting and large academic hospital workflows
